Minister of Labour and Social Security, Brenda Mwika Tambatamba (MP), has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Chairperson and Board of Trustees for the Occupational Health and Safety Institute (OHSI).
On May 14, 2025, Cabinet approved the appointment of a 10 member Board of Directors of the Occupation Health and Safety Institute (OHSI).
Mrs. Grace Kasese Chibwa has been appointed as the Chairperson for the Occupational Health and Safety Institute Board.
The Board of Directors are; Mr. Fred Banda, representative of the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development, Mr. George Mwiya Mukosiku, representative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, MS. Margaret Chibu Chiwala Mulenga, representative of the Zambia Federation of Employers and Ms. Diana Musunga Mwewa, representative of the Attorney General’s Chambers.
The rest are; Dr. Derrick Ntalasha, representative of the Zambia Congress of Trade Unions, Dr. Charles Mwinuna, representative of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Pritchard Sam Chikompi Mukuwa, representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs. Mobwa Fikoloma Sitenta, Member; and Dr. Martha Chakulimba, Director (Ex-Officio).
Ms. Tambatamba urged the appointees, to dedicate themselves fully to the responsibility entrusted to them.
